FAQ

What is the difference between a quartz watch and a mechanical watch?

A battery powers the movement of a quartz watch; a quartz crystal and an electronic oscillator drive and regulate the direction of the action.
The movement of a mechanical watch is driven by a mainspring, also known as the mainspring, which needs to be wound to run. The mainspring is wound manually using the crown or, in the case of an automatic mechanical watch, using the dynamic energy provided by the wearer’s movement.

What is the difference between a chronometer and achronograph?

A chronograph is a watch with a stopwatch function that measures the elapsed activity time and has dedicated hands or displays for starting, stopping, and zeroing.
A chronometer is a watch certified by the Swiss Official Chronometer (COSC). The watch’s movement must pass a specific accuracy test for 15 days in different positions and temperatures to pass this certification.
